PTS is proud to announce that our distributor in Vietnam has closed two orders for JetFlex 3000 systems, each 8.5″ wide. Each system utilizes two JetFlex 3000 print heads stitched together, for a total print width of 8.5″. Each system will be used in-line with an offset web press for printing invoice and transactional documents. The customer chose the JetFlex 3000 system over the Kodak Versamark DS9100 system after several months of very detailed analyses on the total cost of ownership between the two systems, which included equipment purchase cost, ink cost, and average percent coverage. Also, the customer already owned a Kodak Versamark DS9100 print head, and therefore thier choice for the JetFlex 3000 system was not based on speculation for the Kodak system, but instead was based on real ownership experience. This strongly validates the business case that the JetFlex 3000 system can compete with the Kodak Versamark DS9100 system.
