We designed the press drive and control system for a Harris N900 newspaper press, including four horsepower configurations up to dual load-sharing 300 HP motors for a total of 600 HP. On this project we worked with the reliance Maxpack motor controllers, Reliance Automate programmable logic controller (PLC) and a 1200-AMP power distribution system with disconnect consisting of transformers, circuit breakers, motor starters, contactors and fuses.
