We designed the envelope feeder for a sheet-fed lithographic printing press, including extensive mechanical design of the machine linkage and gear assemblies, as well as cam and chassis assemblies. A microprocessor-based electrical system was developed to allow for the simultaneous feeding of two envelopes by means of precise automatic printing impression control. One outcome of this project was the acquisition of U.S. Patent number 4,524,691.
