We designed an image data translation circuit board for delivery of image data to a light emitting diode (LED) array. We provided timing and control logic for compensation of LED array illumination intensity non-uniformity. Altera EP610 and EP900 programmable logic devices (PLDs) were used for most logic functions and a custom bus interface was developed.
